One good thing, at a normal price
You have been at a lot of birthday parties this year. You have watched the gift table quadruple in size compared to when you were a kid. There is an unspoken arms race about what a five-year-old "should" get for a birthday, and it now costs, in aggregate, more than a car payment.
You do not want to opt out. You want to give a real gift. You just do not want to give one of the gifts that spends fifteen minutes being loved and eleven months being furniture.
The question is not "how do I give less". The question is: what is a single gift I can give, at a price that makes sense, that actually gets noticed?
The thing about noticing
Kids notice specific. They notice their name. They notice their exact current interest. They notice the difference between an adult who thought about them for eleven seconds at the checkout aisle and an adult who thought about them for three minutes at their kitchen table.

You pick a setting and a mood. You sign it. You pay nine dollars. A link comes back a minute or two later, and that link is the whole gift.
It goes into the card. It goes into a text. It goes into an envelope with cash if you insist on giving cash too. It goes into the day.
About the price
Nine dollars is the price because that is what it costs us to make one of these, plus a little. It is not "under ten dollars for marketing reasons". It is nine dollars because I would rather people give this often than give it rarely.
